Privacy Policy

DJ Set Studio is operated by Accent Event Group LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, what we never collect, and who handles it.

The short version

Your footage never leaves your computer. DJ Set Studio analyzes and renders video locally. We don't see it, store it, or train on it — we couldn't even if we wanted to; there is no upload path in the product.

What we actually collect

• Account: your email and name, held by our authentication provider (Clerk) to manage your subscription.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
• AI captions: when you request a caption, the short text prompt (event type, a moment description, your caption style examples) is sent to our caption service and forwarded to an AI provider to generate the text. It is not stored after the response and is not used for training.
• License checks: the app periodically refreshes your license, sending your license token and a device identifier. Offline, the app keeps working — no phone-home is ever required to edit.

What we deliberately do NOT collect

• No video or audio uploads — processing is local
• No analytics or tracking inside the desktop app
• No contact lists, no location, no social accounts

If you choose to send a problem report, it contains version numbers and recent error messages, is saved to a file on your computer first, and is only ever sent by you, by email, when you decide to.

Who handles your data

We don't run our own servers for customer data. These vendors do specific jobs, each under its own privacy policy:

• Clerk — sign-up, sign-in and your account page. Holds your name, email, hashed password, and your Google profile if you sign in with Google.
• Stripe (via Clerk Billing) — payments and subscriptions. Holds card details (never stored by us) and billing address.
• Netlify — hosts djsetstudio.com. Standard server logs: IP address and user agent.
• GitHub — hosts app downloads and updates. Sees your IP address when the app downloads or updates.
• Google Workspace — runs the support@djsetstudio.com inbox. Holds the emails you send us.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — writes AI caption suggestions. Receives a short text description of the moment, never audio, video or transcripts.

Your footage is processed on your computer and never uploaded. If you use AI captions, only a short text description of the moment (event type, timecode, and what the software detected) is sent to our caption service, which uses Anthropic's Claude API. It is not stored or used for training.

Your license key is stored in your operating system's keychain on your device.

Children

DJ Set Studio is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Your rights & deleting your data

Email support@djsetstudio.com from the address on your account to export or delete your account data; we'll confirm within a few business days. If you're in the EEA, UK or California you have additional rights under GDPR / CCPA — the same address handles those requests. Deleting your account cancels billing and removes your data from Clerk; clips on your computer are, as always, yours.
